Everything You Always Wanted to Know

December 9, 2005

…okay, maybe not everything. But here are some facts about me you might be interested in knowing:

1. I was born in California. We moved before I could get a good look around though.

2. For most of my life, I have lived in Florida. Not necessarily in the same town, but in Florida.

3. My kids (for the most part) will grow up in the same town.

4. My favorite color is green. Moss green specifically.

5. I’m in my mid 30′s as of 2005.

6. My mother passed away from lung cancer in 1991. I miss her every single day.

7. My father and I have not spoken since 1991. We probably won’t ever speak again, and after years of therapy and reflection (i.e.: banging my head against the wall trying to reconcile), I am actually very okay with that. It’s his loss.

8. I married right out of high school. I don’t recommend it to anyone.

9. I’m not married to that person anymore. Hence why I don’t recommend it.

10. The person I am married to now I met on the BBS (bulletin board systems), which was the precursor to the internet.

11. I stood him up for our first date.

12. It wasn’t intentional. Happy hour began earlier at another bar. It happens.

13. He took me up on my offer to “visit me if he was ever heading to where I was going to move to”. I didn’t think he would take me up on my offer. He did.

14. I made him watch football before we went sightseeing. Cruel, I know.

15. Now he makes me watch football more than I want to sometimes. Payback’s a bi*ch.

27. Spiff can draw amazing pictures.

I love your blog. You are officially my blogging role model. I just started a blog about my high-functioning ASD son. I want it to contain liberal amounts of humor, some inspiration, and a little information. Please visit and critique it at spectrumkids.blogspot.com
I titled it Brilliant Spectrum Child.
