What I Did On My Summer Vacation, Chapter One
June 15, 2006
Today, we made silly putty out of glue, laundry detergent with Borax, and water.
I promptly put it into a baggie and plan to throw it away when the kids aren’t looking.
(It’s disgusting, but it’ll be great for a Halloween gag!)
Also, we did this:
It looks easier than it was…. the box looks so unassuming.
The finished product. The directions could have been more help, but we got it put together anyway.
Our cat Shady sizes up the new houseguest…either that, or she’s looking at how to take it down, we’re not sure.
Pretty cool, huh? Not everyone can say that they have a dinosaur skeleton in their house. We rock!
UPDATE: The cat has sucessfully taken it down, seeing as all it needed was a good gust of wind to bring it crashing down. She’s very proud of herself.

good lord! it’s huge! you are a brave girl- so, how long did it take to pick up all the pieces after it went over? and – did they go back into the box, or the trash…

It stayed pretty much intact, except for the toes slipped out of the slots they were in.
I took it apart and placed it back in the box. Then I flipped a coin and it was heads, so that meant it stayed instead of going out to the garage sale pile. I then placed it under Spiff’s bed so we can find it months from now and do this all over again. Wheeeeee!

That is the coolest model! How fun would that be?? (for about 10 minutes until pieces were lost, and then it would be hell…)

That thing is a monster! But really cool.
I’m trying to resist the temptation to run out and get one to do with my kids.
