Sweep Success!!!
October 29, 2007
Dear Teachers, Employers, Co-Workers who Reside OUTSIDE the Boston/New England area*,
You might notice those of us who live on the East Coast are a bit bleary eyed this morning. Some of us might fall asleep at our desks, or during meetings, or even while you are talking to us in the hallways. This is because we all stayed up WAY past our bedtimes (kids included!) to see our Beloved Red Sox sweep another World Series. We had no choice. It’s in the blood.
So please excuse us from our work today. We’ll be back raring to go tomorrow!
Sincerely,
Red Sox Nation
*If you live in the Boston/New England area, this should have been a region-wide day off. If not, look into that. You deserve it.
GO SOX!!!

I grew up outside of Boston, though I live in NYC now. And? YAY Red Sox!
I know people who never saw their beloved Sox win the Series in their lifetime. I’ve seen it twice. Woot!

I was up until 2 am watching the after game partying and interviews. And I had to get up this morning at 7, so I’m beyond bleary-eyed. I’m absolutely exhausted.
But oh my Gawd! We won the Word Series AGAIN. This is the best best day in the whole world of Red Sox nation!

I’m so tired this morning that my daughter and I had a TV-fueled slumber party in my bed this morning, just so mommy could get a few more winks. I don’t think she minded.
Yay Sox!

I must admit, most of Wisconsin is sleepy today (Tuesday) after that long and dramatic Monday Night Football. Hey, Sox Fans, enjoy! You’ve earned bragging rights!
